AMRAKS
Originally from the nation's capital and now based in Melbourne, Amraks is known for his euphoric and melodic left-field style—an energetic fusion of driving breaks and house that transcends the dance floor. Drawing inspiration from a multifaceted range of mediums including ambient and low tempo genres he maintains a deep connection to both the visual and auditory realms of music.
Since 2018 Amraks has been a prominent figure in the Canberra and surrounding music scenes, playing alongside artists such as Duskus, Kettama, Skin On Skin, Willaris K, HAAi, Human Movement and X Club, to name a few.
His sets combine a dynamic blend of synth-driven euphoria, garage influences and original material—creating immersive moments with both weight and feeling. Since moving to Melbourne in 2021, he has released several singles such as Takara, Quartz/Basalt, Surface and WantMe2, while developing a growing catalogue of work that reflects his evolving sound. His music has gained support from artists like Jacques Greene (Rinse FM radio), Pretty Girl (Mix Mag Lab London) and 1800girls. His mixes and releases have featured on platforms including Triple J, Triple J Unearthed, FBi Radio, Area 3000, Sound Gallery, Nomad Radio, N10.as, Project Radio UK and Canberra House Social.
In 2022 Amraks released his debut EP Desolate through Sydney record label Eclectic. The seven track project showcased his unique approach to production, a sonic spectrum weaving colourful breaks and euphoric house. Music critic Luke Liberati described it as, “An emotional masterclass in spatial harmony. His sound continues to push boundaries, blending high energy rhythms with a sense of emotional depth.”
